Name the soil fraction you want to reuse
Topsoil can contain stones, roots and woody debris. The screening task is to retain those larger pieces while collecting the soil fraction for landscaping or restoration. State the target size and material condition before selecting the screen.
A 28 mm topsoil-processing example
A REMU EP4150 topsoil application used blade 2001, with 16 mm blade thickness and 34 mm spacing, to prepare a maximum 28 mm soil fraction. Stones and sticks were removed from the topsoil for reuse. This is a blade-screening example; a rotary mesh bucket uses a different separation mechanism.
Choose between fine topsoil and coarse separation
The PAB rotary range offers conventional 30–80 mm screen openings. That is suited to a different grading requirement from the 28 mm blade-screened example. Put the requested soil fraction on the inquiry so the screen mechanism and opening are selected for that output.
Plan the feed and two receiving piles
Describe moisture, clay, roots and the largest stones. Arrange space for incoming material, screened soil and retained pieces. A second screen-opening set supports another separation task without replacing the entire bucket.
