Crusher Bucket or Screening Bucket: Which Does Your Job Need?

Start with the change you need to make

A crusher bucket reduces suitable feed material into smaller pieces. A screening bucket separates material using openings in its screen. If your stones are already the right size and need separating from soil, describe a screening task. If the pieces are too large, describe the reduction required.

For a process with both tasks, show the material before treatment and the fraction you want to keep. This makes it easier to discuss the order of operations and what happens to the oversize.

Describe the feed in practical terms

Send a photograph of the whole pile and a closer image beside a ruler or another stated scale. Record the typical and largest pieces, the material type, and any steel, wood or other mixed material present.

For screening, describe moisture and stickiness as well as particle size. For crushing, identify the material to be broken and any preparation already carried out. Ask for a similar-material working example to discuss how the proposed attachment will be used.

Specify the output you need

For a crusher enquiry, state your required final size and the intended downstream use. Ask how the offered model adjusts its output and what material preparation it requires.

For a screening enquiry, list the openings or separated fractions you need and whether you expect to change screens. Ask for the screen or basket arrangement, its replacement process and the items included in the price.

Compare the machine requirements

Provide the excavator model, working weight, mount and auxiliary hydraulic data. Review flow, pressure and return requirements together for each offered attachment. Add attachment weight and the installed mount to the machine review.

State your daily working window and desired processing quantity as project requirements. Any proposed output estimate should describe the material, screen or crusher setting and machine conditions behind it.

Compare complete packages

Request the selected attachment, mount, hydraulic connections, wear items and any additional screens as itemised lines. Include packaging and destination when comparing the overall purchase.

Save the final configuration with the order so the jaw, basket or wear-part references remain available for future purchases.
