The FAE PML/HY rotor can use PML hammers or Y/2 flails. Tool population changes with working width. The rear roller, self-levelling mounting option and side skids control the head’s position against the cut area. This is different from a pair of long rotary blades beneath a deck.

Motor selection separates two flow windows
The 8 cc motor option operates at 19–40 L/min; the 16 cc option uses 38–60 L/min. Write that displacement and its control/anti-cavitation arrangement into the hydraulic package. The overall 19–60 L/min family range combines configurations, not a new operating window for a single fixed motor.
A ditch-bank work sequence uses reach as well as width
The excavator positions the head along the bank, works a defined cutting swath, and returns to adjacent passes. Ground-following hardware and the mounting profile determine the working angle. The bucket pin dimensions and hose route must permit that positioning without treating the mower as a hanging rotary brush cutter.
