Give the rental provider a job specification
Record site location, access, ground/material, working depth/radius or lifting load, start/end dates and shift pattern. Include the required bucket, hammer, drill, fork or lifting tool. The provider’s offered machine is then compared with those conditions rather than only with a day rate.
Equipment specification by project type
| Task | Working details | Tool / service details |
|---|---|---|
| Trench excavation | Depth, width, radius, access and ground | Bucket sizes, breaker, spoil handling |
| Post-hole work | Diameter, depth, soil/rock and hole count | Auger drive, drills, extensions, rock tools |
| Loading / landscaping | Load, material density and placement height | Bucket, forks, grapple, tyres/tracks |
| Lifting / access | Load at radius/height; approach and ground | Load chart, lifting attachment, operator/installation |
| Recycling / demolition | Material, incoming size and target output | Breaker, crusher/screen, wear parts and handling |
Hydraulic options affect the rental tool
A JCB 250T standard circuit is 18.5 US gpm; its high-flow option reaches 30.4 US gpm. The Classic T650 has 23/30.5 US gpm standard/high flow. If the project needs a hydraulic working head, include the required flow, pressure, return, drain and controls in the rental brief. “Loader plus attachment” should identify the fitted circuit and the complete connecting package.
Compare the rate as a whole service
| Quote item | Question to settle |
|---|---|
| Rental period | Day/week/month, shift hours and extension terms |
| Machine and tool | Exact configuration and supplied attachments |
| Operation | Machine-only/dry hire or operator/wet hire |
| Delivery and collection | Site route, transport, loading and return timing |
| Consumables and maintenance | Fuel, fluids, tool wear and service responsibility |
| Change of task | Additional bucket/drill/mesh or tool replacement |
A rental fleet buys repeatable working packages
For a fleet, standardise the mounting and hose/connector arrangement for each carrier group. Keep hammer tools and seals, bucket teeth and pins, auger teeth, screen baskets and service filters linked to the actual unit/attachment. The replacement list follows the machine and tool records, making a second order easier.
Send a fleet procurement requirement
Rental companies can submit machine/attachment models, quantities, interface standards and replenishment requirements for tools and maintenance parts. Project owners can send the site/work specification to prepare their equipment and attachment list. Include location, period and the working package so local service and equipment procurement remain clear purchase tasks.
