A 5 tonne excavator needs its own hammer comparison

SP680’s 4–7 tonne carrier range covers the 5 tonne purchasing task. Compare it with SP530 at 2.5–4.5 tonnes and SP750 at 6–9 tonnes using the hydraulic windows and mounted weight. A small difference in carrier tonnage is not a reason to ignore the different hammer bodies.

Keep operating pressure and machine setting separate

SP680’s breaker working pressure is 108–137 bar. The machine setting listed for the configuration is 160 bar. The two fields describe different points in the hydraulic setup, and the circuit drawing keeps the feed, return and hose-end connections alongside them.

Order wear parts for the silent-body configuration

The package lists a bracket, two mounting pins, two hoses, two chisels and maintenance/charging equipment. Replacement tools need the 68 mm shank and retaining details; a seal order follows the silent-body assembly. Add spare tools and service quantities as separate purchase lines.

Sparkle SP680 Buying Questions

Is this a hydraulic breaker for a 5 tonne excavator?

SP680 silent type is the 4–7 tonne configuration. It weighs 361 kg and uses 40–70 L/min, with a 68 mm tool.

Why not use the top-type weight on this page?

Top and silent bodies are different assemblies. This page uses the 361 kg silent-body specification; the separately listed top version is 343 kg.

What does the 690 J figure describe?

It is the manufacturer’s impact-energy specification for this body. Flow, pressure, tool size and blow frequency remain separate fields in the hammer comparison.

Does a 1/2 inch hose specify the connector thread?

It specifies the bore. The machine and hammer end connections need their thread and sealing-face details on the hose order.
