Describe the breaking task

State whether the work is concrete demolition, rock breaking, trench excavation or another task. Add photographs and the approximate dimensions of the material. Note reinforcement and access restrictions, and say whether breaking will be occasional or a regular part of the machine workload.

These details help narrow the breaker size, housing and working tool. If noise is a project requirement, state the requirement in the enquiry so the proposed configuration can be discussed against it.

Match the excavator and installed weight

Provide the exact machine model and operating configuration, including the boom, stick and quick coupler where relevant. Carrier weight ranges are an initial selection aid; the mount and installed breaker weight also matter.

Record the existing attachment pickup dimensions or supply a mounting drawing. Ask the quote to identify the mounting bracket, pins and any other hardware required for your machine.

Check the auxiliary circuit as a complete set

Send the available auxiliary flow, operating pressure and return-line information from the machine or a measured setup. A suitable breaker requires its hydraulic operating conditions to be matched to the carrier.

Ask for the proposed breaker flow and pressure range, permissible return conditions and hose connection details. Use the specification for the exact offered model; do not transfer settings from another breaker with a similar name.

Define the supplied tool and support items

Ask which working tool is proposed for your material, and whether the quotation includes one tool or a spare set. Have the supplier identify the tool reference and the maintenance parts associated with the quoted breaker version.

Include hoses, couplings, mounting hardware, the operating instructions and any required commissioning information in the discussion. Keep options as separate lines so competing quotes describe comparable packages.

Prepare a useful breaker enquiry

A concise enquiry can be assembled from the machine plate, a mounting photo and a photo of the breaking task. Add the quantities and destination, then list the installation parts and spares you would like priced.

  • Machine model, working weight and mounting arrangement.
  • Material, approximate piece size and expected working pattern.
  • Auxiliary flow, pressure and return-line information.
  • Required housing or tool preferences, if any.
