Describe the load before choosing the opening
For timber handling, give the typical and largest log diameter, log length and approximate load weight. Explain whether you move single logs, bundles or irregular material. A wide opening helps accept a load, while the jaw shape and closing arrangement influence how it is held.
Photos of the material and a short description of the pickup and placement points make the selection more useful than machine tonnage alone.
Choose the movement the job requires
A fixed grapple handles material using the excavator movement. A rotating grapple adds rotation at the attachment, which can help position a log during stacking or loading. Tell us which movements are required and whether you need to operate grip and rotation independently.
Supply the available auxiliary hydraulic connections and any control information. The quotation should identify how the grip, rotation and controls connect to the machine.
Review the whole handling arrangement
Include the machine model, boom and stick arrangement, coupler and the working radius for the task. Ask the machine operator or equipment provider for the load information that applies at that position. Account for the installed attachment package when reviewing the intended load.
The grapple opening and an attachment lifting figure do not by themselves establish what the machine can handle at every radius. Send the actual placement distance and height so the proposed setup can be considered together.
Quote the package you can identify again
List the mount, hoses, connectors and controls alongside the grapple. Ask for the cylinder and rotation-component references, plus the pins, bushings and seals relevant to the supplied version. Keep those references with the final configuration for later parts requests.

- Load dimensions, weight and handling radius.
- Fixed or rotating operation and available circuits.
- Required quantities, destination and preferred spare items.
